Contract Close-out Services - Department of Energy

The Department of Energy's Office of Procurement Services (MA-541) has the responsibility of closing out contracts. This requires a database and the ability to mine that database to formally closeout and retire expiring procurements. LAI employees work to capture and mine the database for indirect rates for all DOE contractors where DOE Headquarters is Cognizant Federal Agency or Office. DOE has realized significant cost savings and dollar recovery from prompt closure of expired contracts as a result of the database design and LAI administration and data storage management. A recent letter from our customer says it all: "Clearly the LAI Team has delivered outstanding and efficient services, a significant contribution to the success of the Procurement Services business line."
